THE CHURCHES of Our Lady of Lourdes and St Anne were clustered in 2008. It was a significant step for these strong parishes that came about as part of the Pastoral Planning Process of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester, which began in the 1990’s.
The purpose of clustering is to strengthen participating parishes through sharing of personnel and resources, and to offer opportunities for parishes to grow together in discipleship and vitality.
Our Lady of Lourdes, founded in 1928, is situated in the Bel Air neighborhood of Brighton, at the corner of Imperial and Rhinecliff.
Saint Anne Church, founded in 1930 in Rochester, is on the busy north – south thoroughfare, Mount Hope Avenue – Route 15- near Strong Memorial Hospital , the University of Rochester and the Al Sigl Center.
The Church campuses of Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Anne are about 3.5 miles apart.
